In a video message for the "Laudato si 'Week" initiative, from 16 to 24 May 2020, Pope Francis invites everyone to "respond to the ecological crisis, the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor can no longer wait." 2020 is the year of the 5th anniversary of Laudato si, dedicated to the care of the common home: today more than ever, therefore, attention have to be paid to promoting integral ecology, the funding message of the Encyclical.
The Dicastery, in the current year, is committed to organizing and sponsoring concrete events and actions, which will revive the Pope's message. Among these, the "Laudato Si 'week", facilitated, among others, by the Global Catholic Climate Movement (GCCM), from CIDSE, from Renova+ and from the Caritas network: during the days of May therefore all Catholic communities are invited to carry out moments of deepening of the content of Laudato si', and promote actions to safeguard creation and protection of the common house.
