Are GMOs and plant biotechnology the hope for overcoming hunger and protecting the environment, or are they Frankenstein's food? To answer this question, the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace (which merged into the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development in August 2016) convened scientists, farmers, ministers, environmentalists and theologians to Rome in 2003 for an international study seminar.
The proceedings of that meeting, collected in this book, GMO: Threat or hope? (Edizioni ART, 2004) represent a valid and original contribution to the development and use of biotechnology.
